“The Silent Killer We’re Still Ignoring
The Truth About Endometriosis”
Written and voiced by

Today, I want to talk about something that’s killing women, slowly, silently, and with full medical complicity.
And that something… is endometriosis.
Now, if you’ve ever heard someone say “It’s just a bad period,” or “It’s nothing to worry about,” you need to know: that is a dangerous lie.
Because endometriosis isn’t just a period problem. It’s a systemic, invasive disease that has been found clinically, surgically, and post-mortem in almost every major organ in the body.
And yes, when left untreated… it can become fatal.
Let’s talk facts. Because this isn’t hysteria. It’s medicine.
Endometriosis has been found in the brain.
In peer-reviewed case studies, women have experienced seizures, brain bleeds, and neurological symptoms due to endometrial tissue embedded in the brain and spinal cord.
One case in particular involved a young woman whose MRI showed brain lesions that were hormonally responsive bleeding in sync with her cycle.
Yes bleeding! In & on The Brain!
It’s also been found in the lungs and chest.
This is called thoracic endometriosis. It can cause your lung to collapse every month with your period and a condition known as catamenial pneumothorax.
Women have coughed up blood.
Including myself,
Others have experienced chest pain, breathlessness, and shoulder pain so severe they couldn’t lie down.
It’s even reached the heart.💖
Though extremely rare, “they say”, documented cases show endometrial cells forming around the heart, leading to cardiac tamponade a medical emergency where fluid builds up around the heart and stops it from beating properly.
it can also affect the kidneys too.
In many cases, endometriosis wraps around or compresses the ureters the tubes that carry urine from the kidneys to the bladder.
If those tubes get blocked, the kidneys silently swell and fail.
This is called hydronephrosis and often, there are no warning signs until it’s too late.
Some women have lost a kidney entirely before their endo was ever diagnosed.
It’s been found in the bowel, the stomach, the liver even the diaphragm.
Which I am currently manoeuvring myself with my own health.
It causes nausea, rectal bleeding, digestive shutdown, bloating, and in some cases, bowel obstruction so severe it requires emergency surgery.
And again the pain isn’t always where you’d expect it. Sometimes it radiates up under the ribs. Or down the leg. Or deep into the pelvis.
let’s talk about the nervous system.
Deep infiltrating endometriosis can wrap around major nerves.
This can lead to symptoms like
Dead leg
Sciatic pain
Numbness or partial paralysis
And in severe cases, what’s called
“frozen pelvis,” where the organs are stuck together and movement becomes excruciating.
But here’s the worst part.
While this disease is attacking our organs, our nerves, and our futures…
Women are still being told:
“It’s just your period.”
“It’s normal.”
“Just take the pill.”
“You’ll be fine.”
“Come back if it gets worse.”
“Your scans are clear.”
“We can’t see anything.”
“It’s probably just stress.”
That kind of medical gaslighting is not just dismissive.
It’s dangerous.
It leads to delayed diagnoses.
Lost fertility.
Lost organs and Sometimes… loss of life!
Let’s be absolutely clear:
Endometriosis can be fatal.
The evidence is there!….
It can lead to:
Kidney failure
Bowel perforation
Sepsis
Brain bleeds
Lung collapse
And in some heartbreaking cases
suicide, from untreated pain and despair!
This isn’t rare.
It isn’t dramatic.
It isn’t “just bad periods.”
This is a systemic disease that needs to be taken seriously!…NOW!
If you’re living with endometriosis and you’ve been dismissed
I want you to know:
You are not making it up.
You are not alone.
And you are not overreacting.
Many endo sufferers are now starting to stand up
and we are speaking clearly.
And our microphones are ON!
Because this time, we’re not asking politely.
We are demanding better.
For ourselves. For each other. For the next generation who deserve to be heard, seen, and properly cared for.

Thanks for listening…until next time……..
